Royal Enfield Himalayan

It’s a completely new motorcycle from the ground up, including new chassis, new engine and new design. The Himalayan will be powered by a new four stroke, single cylinder, 410cc air-cooled engine, which will make around 28PS of power and 32Nm of torque.
Instead of a traditional push rod set up, the new engine will have overhead cams and is expected to freely rev to 6500-7000rpm.
The engine will also be equipped with a counter balancer which is expected to make the new engine much smoother and refined than any of the engines from the Royal Enfield stable.
Royal Enfield is an old classic motorcycle manufacturer from Madras, India. It previously introduced classic motorcycles. But recently it introduced a tourer motorcycle called the Royal Enfield Himalayan. It is a light, durable, powerful motorcycle. It's engine capacity is 411cc. It is a touring motorcycle that can travel long distances with comfort and seamless ride. It is a two Wheeler that can handle rough rides as well as smooth rides in asphalt roads. It has the ability to be repaired minor faults easily. It can start and run without a battery. Though you would need to perform a push start. Out can also light the headlight without battery while running. It is a true tourer plus comfortable ride for youngsters and the ones who dream of a taller comfortable bike.

The two variants are expected to be priced between Rs 1.65 to Rs 1.85 lakh.

Apple inches closer to open store in India

Last week, Apple's CEO TIM Cook said that it is working on bringing Apple stores in India not Nepal. Now, new reports are saying that the iPhone and iPad makeing giant will have to re-submit an application for opening single brand retail stores in the country due to previous reasons.
Bloomberg, citing a source familiar to the matter reported that the company is expected to win approval from the government to launch the stores.
It is not known how much Apple has invested and plans to open how many stores in India. In 2014, Apple had requested the Indian government to relax the policy on foreign direct investment (FDI) in single-brand retail. A foreign company needs to manufacture 30% of its goods in India to be able to operate retail stores in the country. Apple currently has only 2% market share in the country and hence it is trying to target the mid tier smartphone segment in India. Seems like Apple is going to open stores in India but it is too far to see a official Apple store in Nepal. Nepal seems to be backward on each and every aspect of development.

Samsung patents smartwatch that uses veins for identification

Samsung has patented a new technology which hints that it’s next smartwatch could use your veins to establish your identity. The patent that was filed by Samsung in July last year was published earlier this month.
The patent titled “Wearable Device and Method of Operating the Same” was published by the USPTO. As per the patent, a camera sensor will be mounted on the front edge of the wearable device that takes a picture of the user’s vein structure. At the time of authentication, the sensor will scan the vein layout with its database and try to match it with one of the many registered veins. The company is likely to use a kind of infrared technology which can identify the unique characteristics of your vein. Samsung could then use that information to authenticate your identity for various apps and services. It could also be used in various connected devices under Internet of Things or even for company’s mobile payment service Samsung Pay. The technology could even be useful in tasks like opening a doors for cars or hotel rooms. A wearable device comprising: a sensor configured to capture a vein image of a user; and a processor configured to: in response to a function or an application being selected by the user, control the sensor to capture the vein image of the user wearing the wearable device; identify the user by comparing the captured vein image with at least one registered vein image; and in response to determining that the identified user has an execution authority for the selected function or application, execute the function or the application.
It must be noted that companies patent technologies from time to time and it is not sure if Samsung will use the vein sensor technology for its smartwatch.
